Farm Direct Trade is a way of sourcing beans by which farmers are paid a fair price for coffee 'directly,' removing the importer or broker and ensuring the purchase of high quality beans. Farm Direct Trade assures that prices paid for premium coffee beans are at least 50% over Fair Trade minimums and go directly to the people who cultivate top quality coffee.

We did one better! 29 Bombs Coffee bags are certified compostable and can be disposed of in curbside composting bins. Just remember to pull off the label first (no...sigh, the labels are not compostable yet, but we are working on it!)

In addition, our shipping labels are FSC certified. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a globally recognized organization that promotes responsible forest management. FSC certification ensures that products like our shipping labels come from sustainably managed sources. 

When it comes to price, we think our coffee beans are a pretty flavorful deal. While there are many factors that contribute to the price of coffee, most retail coffees are made from blends, often include less expensive Robusta varieties of beans, follow varying degrees of sustainability practices, roast in super large batches and compromise on eco-friendly packaging. Comparatively, we only roast sub-varieties and hybrids of Arabica beans that are sustainably sourced, single origin, Farm Direct Trade, micro batch, freshly roasted and packaged in compostable coffee bags. When you compare apples to apples (or in this case, beans to beans) we’re actually on par with (if not more affordable than) other brands.
